If you have ever went to the supermarket you must be aware of the fact that customers of such places are usually offered free samples of food in order to attract them. It is by the way a great job for students to stand there and promote this given product. Anyway such promotions have proven to be very successful and a lot of customers decide to buy the product that was offered to them because they have liked it. Sometimes the person giving away free samples is so convincing that he finally breaks the client who has no choice but to buy it. Recently as I was shopping in a supermarket I was offered a free sample of... whey protein. I was really surprised! You would expect to get a free sample of fish, yoghurt or cheese but not this. That made me a bit confuse but I ate it and drank some water. Obviously you don´t buy whey protein for its taste but for the effects and they can´t be visible immediately. So I guess, the main point of this promotion was to bring people´s attention to the product and those who have previously thought about it might consider it. They didn´t convince me. But that is understandable as I was not looking for whey protein. Still I am writing about it and maybe this will bring them some customers. Who knows?
